I worked at Jewett-Cameron Trading full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Enjoyed working with the CEO. Really enjoyed several of the employees and interacting between departments. The open environment gave a family feel.

    Cons

Not getting clear communication with the supervisor. Receiving mixed messages and handed really odd projects. Poorly titled email attachments that are important.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more patient and understanding

    Pros

Always working, no rest. Always some project to do. You will get fourty hours every week. The need to be able to do most anything they ask is important. Think construction worker meets technical assembly.

    Cons

The work involves alot of strange work related chemicals. Near a major Chemical plant. Oh yeah, temp status is more than a year! So no 3 month probation here! Ask at the interview the window, if any for permanent status.

    Advice to Management

Dunt let the employees run the show, or your temps. I like the work, like that I got work, in this economy. But there are cliques, that need to be exposed and shut down.
