I worked at Jiffy Lube full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    No prior experience needed.
Good hours for employees that have worked there for a bit.
It's impossible to get fired as long as you're not addicted to hard drugs, or blow up an engine.
Work builds your resume for future, better jobs.

    Cons

    No prior experience needed.
You need to let the store manager know you want to take time off weeks/months in advance.
Pretty high turnover rate, you'll get a lot of idiots that come through and are gone within the first month.
Corporate doesn't give a damn if you need a replacement tool. Actually, they don't really care about you at all.
    Good luck getting a raise.
Vastly underpaid for the amount of work that you do.
Work in an open shop with broken swamp coolers, so that means 120 degrees in the summer (for me at least, arizona)
    Very shady business.
The owner of the stores in Maricopa county kept cutting bonuses until only management and CSA (the sales guy) were left.
As stated above, if you break a tool, you'll have to find something else to use because it won't be replaced anytime soon.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring ex convicts that are still addicted to heroin. Or stop hiring ex cons all together.

    Pros

Team and Store Manger were very nice and helpful. When in doubt ask your co workers and manager if they're nice to you. Working as a team is key.

    Cons

Managers form other store or regions are extremely rude. Cussing and degrading employees. Worst of all, when employee is no longer on the clock.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with help and some importance. Keep in touch with an employee who were injured and place them back on schedule if need be.
