    Working at Jiffy Lube experience there's plenty of room to move up in management a great place to start out as an hourly mechanic

    Cons

    Happening to deal with hot engines doing oil changes on them as they're extremely hot was one of the bad parts of doing that job

    To have an open mind always listen to your co-workers because you never know even the slightest idea can make so much difference in a work environment

    I worked at Jiffy Lube part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Sometimes you get really slow days where you only have a couple cars and the work is light. You could do 44 hours a week and only really work for 20 of that and you don't get paid per car.

    Cons

    Can be easily overwhelmed, the management does not look out for you. The pay is trash. The working conditions are also trash. It's horrible in the summer and freezing in the winter. You have to cut the grass and keep the grounds, which could include painting the garage,planting plants, and pulling weeds. You will also have to stand outside in all black and hold a sign when your slow. They will also ask you to sign out if they're too slow to save money. They promise job growth and bonuses according to how well your shop does, and I worked there for 6 months and our shop constantly did great but me and my coworkers never saw a bonus or pay raise. The company does not pay to fix anything unless it was an emergency. Our A/C went out in April and wasn't fixed until June and we worked in georgia. Overall just not a good place to work.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better, if the shop is busy help your techs. If it's 98 outside don't make them stand outside with a pointless sign.

    Advice to Management

    VALUE your employees. Especially, thise who work hard! Listen to what we have to say. I am a female who felt like I needed to stay quiet, I was harrased and discriminated against while the REGIONAL and DISTRICT did nothing. HR was of little to no assistance ,but what can you do. I thank you for the opportunity and it has taught me not to stay quiet because I know what I am worth and how I should treated and compensated!! VALUE YOUR LOYAL WORKERS AND CUT OUT THE PROBLEMATIC ONES.

    use of a pit and a lift

    I like meeting new customers and I like what I do and the people I work with iv learned new skills for management this job is good for entre lv learning.

    Cons

    not enough hours cant make enough to take the benefits like medical and dental the 401k if your looking for long term this is not the job for it.
