I have been working at Jiffy Lube full-time

    Pros

For management good hours, decent pay, pretty easy, lots of downtime.

    Cons

Pay, compensation for hard work, always getting nagged at about the numbers even when we're doing good.

    Advice to Management

Compensate your management for their hard work they put in the company. I'm talking about service managers (the bread and butter). Don't you ever wonder why you have honest, good, loyal, hard working managers quitting? Because a raise is damn near impossible.

    Cons

I think for all the labor of this particular company they should start their employees with more than minimum wage

    Advice to Management

    Raise the starting pay rate.

    Pros

Learned a lot about keeping vehicles running longer and newer.

    Cons

They broke a lot of labor laws, and ethical codes. Overworked and underpay employees. Health insurance is about 800$ a month for two or more people.

    Advice to Management

Offer better pay, don't force employees to work outrageous hours.

I worked at Jiffy Lube full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No real pros unless you absolutely need a paycheck while look for a position elsewhere.

    Cons

Genral Mgrs are required to work a minimum of 50 hours a week for a low salary. Assistant managers are paid even worse, not to far off min wadge. They run the shops with as little manpower as they can get away with. They help unqualified technicians get there inspectors license (they have the answers to the exams) and have them do state safety inspections with little to no training. The turnover rate is horrendous, which means there is usually only 1 mabey 2 people that have a clue what's going on. No chance to move up unless your a very aggressive salesman. The medical cover is a joke and expensive.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is always plenty of hours. You have the opportunity to advance. If you work hard, you can get raises and bonuses. Ability to cross-train so the job wont get boring. Fast paced interesting work environment.

    Cons

The working conditions are far from ideal. It is freezing cold in the winter and scorching hot in the summer, with little refuge from either. The pay isn't enough for the amount of work you put in. There are no designated breaks, so if its busy you have to work through hunger.

    Advice to Management

I feel a little more patience would be very helpful. Make sure your employees feel like their work is appreciated. Watch the way you approach your employees, your tone of voice and demeanor can drastically affect how the employee reacts to the situation.
