    I worked at Jim 'N Nick's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great atmosphere with delicious food and a very cool business outlook. They are very down to earth and keep the whole southern hospitality and rustic environment close to heart. Loved the people and being in catering brought me to tons of fun events and I met lots of cool people from other store locations as well as the people we served.

    Cons

Fast-paced and not for the faint hearted. While it is fun to work there and is definitely different than any restaurant I've worked in, it's still a busy restaurant.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

Delicious food, fast paced environment. Great opportunity to make some money.

    Cons

Sometimes staffing decisions can feel arbitrary.

    Advice to Management

Don't play favorites. Decisions need to have reasons, not just playing to whomever is the manager's favorite.

    Pros

Amazing company to work for. They treat their employees like family. They are all locally owned and operated which makes for a better work environment.

    Cons

No real cons as long as you are not afraid of hard work. Expect a lot out of their employees but they also give a lot back.

    Pros

People are friendly, upbeat place to work, great employees willing to help someone new

    Cons

Insufficient training ; If you dont know everything by day 5 of training you're fired ; management hires you with your availability and then fires you because you cant work more days.

    Advice to Management

Dont push a good worker out of the door because you didnt train them right to begin with.

    Pros

Very lenient they really work with your schedule if you ever have any issues arise but expect to pick up slack if someone else has to miss

    Cons

Long hours and change of schedule with short notice due to short staffing you have to stay on your toes

    Advice to Management

Would definitely help having an extra manager short staffing puts too much for one person at times

    Pros

    Friendly staff and good food

    Cons

Low wages, no breaks unless you're working at least 12 hours, very hierarchical, no advancement from bottom. Inconsistent tip-out.

    Advice to Management

Don't lie to prospective employees about "opportunities for advancement" in order to hire people for positions that are hard to fill because the wages are too low. Also, pay us minimum wage and forget this tip-out garbage.
