I have been working at Jive Communications full-time

    Pros

High pace, better than average pay, great management, and mature product. Jive is a breath of fresh air in comparison to the other tech unicorns in Utah. Jive has their stuff together and a product that is disrupting the market. John Pope is the type of CEO that doesn't lose and is willing to work with everyone to make Jive as big as we possibly can. Jive isn't concerned about creating a work place with ping pong tables and video games, rather they are putting the money into the pockets of their employees.

    Cons

Work place is cramped but they are building a new building which fixes that issue.

I worked at Jive Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Would not recommend a job to anyone at Jive now GoToMeeting. They do not treat people right or fairly. You work very hard on the phones have to learn all the required positions to cover any employee.

    Cons

They are not interested in the employee's only the product.

I worked at Jive Communications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Brand new building with awesome amenities. Full benefits offered.

    Cons

I use to Love Jive and everything it stood for. I could have spent the rest of my life working for Jive. And now, sadly they are a shell of who they once were. I loved the (CEO), what an amazing man with a huge heart who treated everyone of his employees like true family. Somewhere along the way after selling the company to LogMeIn he lost all compassion and wisdom for the people who put their sweat and tears into the company for him. I still think there is a great man in there somewhere but he is simply just doing his last couple years via his contractional obligation after the sell. With any “take over” there are lots of changes. I understood this and held on as long as I could hoping things to get better. After many months and the horrible conditions in which management was treating people I decided to resign. Before giving up; me along with many others, professionally addressed the bad treatment to Jive’s original CEO, VIP’s and even LogMeIn corporate offices in Boston. The refusal to do anything about the conditions in the end was my cue to walk away with tears in my eyes. Tears for such an amazing company that had sold its soul.

I worked at Jive Communications full-time

    Pros

The only pro about working at Jive Communications is the health insurance and the annual retreat.

    Cons

Some of the managers are the most arrogant people I have ever met. I Was the youngest employee in my department and was treated with such disrespect. The manager of my department was extremely bias towards a few employee's since they were BEST friends and in the same Church Ward. If you're not a Mormon, there is a good chance you won't last very long. This manager wanted a yes man, not someone who gives good advice and can help the team advance. It is more than okay to miss work if you have a headache or have to get your kids from work. But if you need to leave for a medical emergency, you're docked pay, or have to bring in FMLA paperwork. the manager should be fired. I ABSOLUTELY HATED WORKING FOR JIVE COMMUNICATIONS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND JIVE TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU'RE IN SALES.

I have been working at Jive Communications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Culture, Management, Ambitious. This is a great team on the verge of doing great things. In the last few years Jive has completely turned the company around and gained an immense amount of direction. This is a fun company to work for and JIve is going places.

    Cons

Every company has cons this one is no less. However, the pros far outweigh the cons and at the ed of the day the cons here beat the cons in most other places.

    Cons

Being in separate buildings can get tough sometimes, but we are moving to a brand new building in the Spring.

    Pros

Love that the company treats us like more than just puzzle pieces. There is room to grow at Jive, and they're dedicated to investing in their employees. I've already had three positions and continue to learn and love my job every day. Also, the benefits are great.

    Cons

    Ummmmmm. This is hard.

I worked at Jive Communications full-time

    Pros

Jive has some great people working for them. You can get a job here straight out of school with no experience yet under your belt. That's great, they take a risk on hires and are unorganized enough (not necessarily a bad thing I think) to be open to new ways of doing things. C-levels are approachable.

    Cons

It's almost like the C levels are afraid of losing control. They really need to replace themselves and get out of the way so this company can really take off. They also make knee jerk decisions on the basis of……oh, yeah…NOTHING. Their was a blood bath not too long ago where some hard working and very engaged employees were all sacked…Why? because the CTO who, as far as perceptions go, hadn't been at work for over two months, read an article on Netflix's hiring and firing practices, and decided that half the people who reported to him should be sacked. How the C-levels went along with this clown (who the company eventually fired) without ANY foresight of the consequences (many people left without waiting to see if they were next) just proves they are junior league. Nice enough guys…I guess…and smart-ish, but just kinda absurd that at that level, given the company size, that the men in the control tower have such lack of insight and just dumb thoughtlessness almost I would say, disdain for the people whose livelihoods and families depend.

I have been working at Jive Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've had an amazing experience working with Jive. There is a very open, "offer your thoughts" type of culture. There are a lot of very excited people, and the actual PRODUCT is really amazing. They care about customer's needs. It's always nice to see growth matter to both the bottom line and the customer. There is a competitive drive at Jive, and an exciting atmosphere. I love working with passionate and driven people. The benefits are competitive, the pay is great, and leadership has been genuine in wanting to help me advance my career.

    Cons

Things change too often based on the thought of one manager or another. Change needs to be a little more thought out and measured so that it doesn't destroy efficiency. It doesn't happen often, but its disruptive when in does happen.
