Commision rates haven't been adjusted since before jos.a. bank became a promotional retailer so you have to seel more to make the same as what youi sold the year before. Harsh views on customer complaints. they only listen to the customer's side, the employees side doesn't matter. Past performance not taken into account on anything. very poor training program. upper management not very responsive to store issues (divisional vice president and above)
Advice to Management
PAY MORE! One should be able to work and have a life outside of it. at jos.a.bank as a manager that is not possible. While only 47 hours are the minimunm requirement, it usually requires more like 55-65 to complete the MASSIVE ammounts of work and checking that this job requires. Just because the company wills something to be done, doesn't make it possible to do. workload should be able to be accomplished in the time required as a minimum expectation.
If a company treats their employees well, the employee will take care of the company. If the employee has to worry about how to make ends meet even in the busy times, then they will take care of themselves over the companies intrests. EVERYONE feels overworked and underappreciated in this company.
