    Pros

    Rewarding to help the good students that want to be there and follow the rules of the program.

    Cons

    Lowest pay, no raises, poor Heath benefits, 2 weeks vacation for 5 years, no personal days, no snow days required to come in even in dangerous conditions to babysit the dorms, no winter break, no sumner break, filthy center with no custodial crew staff must clean entire center, no support for burn out job, no recognition, promoted by brown-nosing only not merit or seniority, managers that have intimate relationship with supervisees, managers and director's never leave offices and have their work done by others, refusal to advertise staff openings and instructors doing the job of two or three previous instructors, director overwrites terminations keeping disruptive students on center to disrupt classes and create unsafe working conditions, no detention or workshops for problem students who wander the hallways unsupervised, students up all night in dorms sleep all day in class, teachers held accountable and punished monetarily for student behavior, grounds and building not maintained well and stuff falls common and impairing, instructors required to do more than the job hired for or face stigmatism, mysoginistic leadership and hostile workplace, gives recognition/ pay increases only to favorites, work and no cost of living increases, doctor's note for any two consecutive days off or unpaid, must use vacation days for snow days, burn out, guilt inducing, prison like atmosphere, ugly, dark, hot, dirty uncomfortable staff room.

    Good salary, Easy to get hired, not a lot of planning or grading, not as many responsibilities as public school teaching.

    Cons

    Poor benefits, Stressful environment due to many inner city students that do not have motivation to complete assignments and are not well supported by center staff especially in the dorms, administration is not very supportive concerning disciplinary issues which makes day to day work life difficult.

    Stable job, the program helps the disadvantaged people, people of color and low income family members , it’s free program , some benefits for employees

    Cons

    No salary increase ever, health insurance is bad, a lot of paperwork, the most bureaucratic place I’ve ever worked in
