I have been working at Job Corps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free training
    Housing
    Education
Kind, caring staff that are willing to work with you

Generally an all around good place to get real world work experience. As a student here you'll be asked to maintain a certain level of professionalism at all times. Stay on task and you will be fine.

    Cons

    Slightly disorganized
    Pay isn't great,
Needs to be more selective with who it allows to participate in this program
Really needs to update their website

On the other hand, there are a few people that are student employees here that aren't quite ready to dedicate their life to this and they, sometimes, end up dragging more fair-weather students down with them.

Generally, however, as long as you keep focused on what it is that you want to accomplish you shouldn't have a hard time living here.

    Advice to Management

Update your website and certain aspects of your program. I feel like a lot of the advice given in the first four weeks would be more pertinent in the 90's and the 00's rather than the 2010's-2020's.
