I worked at Job Corps full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They allowed me to learn while I stayed on campus with no cost to me.

    Cons

Campus culture varies from center to center, and in some cases, can be overwhelming.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Job Corps full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free training Housing Education Kind, caring staff that are willing to work with you Generally an all around good place to get real world work experience. As a student here you'll be asked to maintain a certain level of professionalism at all times. Stay on task and you will be fine.

    Cons

Slightly disorganized Pay isn't great, Needs to be more selective with who it allows to participate in this program Really needs to update their website On the other hand, there are a few people that are student employees here that aren't quite ready to dedicate their life to this and they, sometimes, end up dragging more fair-weather students down with them. Generally, however, as long as you keep focused on what it is that you want to accomplish you shouldn't have a hard time living here.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Job Corps full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many opportunities such as free food, housing, utilities, and occasionally clothing. Along with this you have the chance to learn a trade.

    Cons

Many of the admissions systems are flawed, they value money over success and will stop at nothing to keep the mandated census. Because of the outrageous number of students forced to live with one another theft violence and other demoralizing values are propagated among students. Many of the students have some type of emotional scaring or personality disorder that may hinder staff and student employees from completing simple tasks such as a business oriented meeting.
