    Pros

Everything is about numbers and trying

    Cons

Each department is a one person run show. Communication is bad between departments and the sales people are always stuck in the middle between the client and upper management. Even though they bring in revenue they are always put in unethical situations due to miscommunication. The Digital department consists of one arrogant guy who never gets reprimanded when assaulting employees verbally in a condescending way. Upper management does not do anything about the abuse. A new CRM system was rolled out but this one digital person brought on board and the system did not support the sales reps and everything always falls on deaf ears. Leadership makes zero attempts to fix things without blaming sales reps first. Compensation models are changed frequently and are inconsistent. For example one office received one plan and the other office was told they do not deserve it after they were already told about this plan for 6 months and papers were signed for them to be put in place. As soon as they were put in place each of us was called in and told we will be penalized if we take the new plan. Really?

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees well and improve the culture. This place is a revolving door it is a miracle if anyone lasts more than 2 years. Fix the issues by listening to your sales team. Stop the lies.

    Pros

Family friendly work hours. Co-workers are great, the company's Dígítal Recruitment Campaign, job fairs in certain states work great for customers. Product rates are pretty reasonable.

    Cons

The position is a glorified telemarketing job. You are required to make 100+ phone calls a day and the quota for a new hire is unattainable. They don't give you existing accounts, so you basically sink or swim. The pay will never equal the amount of work you put in. Company benefits are terrible and you would have to work a second job to afford the company healthcare plan.

I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a real career.

    Advice to Management

Focus on professionalism in the office, manager needs to be more present in the office to train new hires and answer employee concerns, training should be condensed into 2-3 weeks instead of random times in a 7 week period, new hires should finish ALL the training before sending them out to the field, morning meetings should be cut down to once a week and no more than 30 min (it cuts into productivity time), new hire sales goals should start on the first week after the completion of ALL training and not in the first day they start.

    Pros

The digital products work, especially in this time of low unemployment. Fantastic job fair events as well - something to be proud of.

    Cons

We support clients' brands, not our own. It can be a challenge to get in the door to explain how effective Job News' digital products are. The good news is, customers return time and time again after they test-drive their first campaign or event.

    Advice to Management

Pam should continue to support us just as she always does! She has over twenty years' experience in the industry, many of which are in Tampa Bay. To upper management - keep up the GREAT work creating effective digital recruitment solutions.

I worked at Job News full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible with schedules.....and that's about it.

    Cons

    Unsupportive HR and administrators.
    Horrible department manager(s.)
Co-workers constantly complain and hate their jobs.
Work is boring and completely production-based with no rewards set in place.
    Office is cold and unwelcoming.

    Advice to Management

Before you set out to have a production based department, you have to put rewards in place. There are none here. The designers are constantly berated by both their managers and sales reps, no one is ever pleased, and their design standards are out of date and not aesthetically pleasing.
