I worked at Joerns Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It's nice having a bit of control to your work day. Leaving out on orders and meeting customers is great and you meet alot of good people and it is always great to have a paycheck

    Cons

This place is just going down the tube, they might have employees but everyone has been on vacation since the company filed for chapter 11. It's no real honest way of saying if people there will come back to a job tomorrow. The equipment is in horrible conditions, Rusty beds and all their mattress smell of urine which you will go home smelling like. Management does nothing to solve problems within the workplace but... watch cameras all day. They have no real customers at the moment and are clinching on to whatever is left of their business to stay afloat. I do not see any chance of this company surviving . I would never want a family member or stranger to be subject to the quality of their equipment.

    Pros

The products help people. Plenty to do, always active. There are a few good people who always help.

    Cons

The company has financial issues and had had to lay-off so many people that the people left are desperately trying to keep the company operational. The culture is aweful! People climb over each other to get their work done first since there is often a backlog. Often everything is escalated to create urgent needs and micro-managers redirect activity at the cost of creating additional issues for the following day. ... Just a sad job, and you want to take a shower when you get home based on the slimy way of working. This company has a poor reputation that follows you if you have to put it on your resume.

    Advice to Management

Management is the problem. This should be advice to the holding company to hire competent leadership. Seriously, questionable practices will most probably catch up with this company. The executive team simply is in over their heads.

    Pros

Independent Good co worker Pay is ok Boss is in a different location Meet good people

    Cons

Poor Can't get supplies No raise No awards for employees that go above and beyond Don't care about the little guy

    Advice to Management

Get off your butts and see what the technicians go through on a daily basis, instead of your corporate butts sitting behind a desk and making dumb policies. No one is every on the same page.

I worked at Joerns Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Good people who have good intentions of making a difference.

    Cons

The company wide focus on saving money has eliminated people's abilities to do their job well. People are overworked and underappreciated (note: I didn't say "underpaid" I said underAPPRECIATED). A disconnect between departments like I've never seen before. And truthfully, "disconnect" is a gross understatement. Different systems that don't communicate, no manpower to clean up bad data, etc. what a mess! Also, no... money in the bank instills fear for job security, and no money to invest in people and departments leaves little room for loyalty to the org. The transparency about our financial situation may need to be rethought.

    Advice to Management

Greet your team, smile at them, say thank you, say good morning when you come in. Implement FREE programs to boost morale. Your financial situation shouldn't determine the type of PERSON you are.

I worked at Joerns Healthcare full-time

    Pros

There are no good reasons to work here. This company reminds me of a train that has no conductor. There have been too many good people(that knew their job) have been let go or chased away; and replaced with idiots and their foolish policy's

    Cons

There are far too much rundant paperwork and policies. There cost of doing business, (in most cases) exceeds what they are making.

    Advice to Management

Advice to Stockholders; not management. Remember the golden rule of business. "If it does not make you a dollar, than it makes no sense". Save your money; sell it.

I worked at Joerns Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The field itself is interesting, and they, at times, have had good people working at the company. If leadership just left the people alone and let them do their job it would help the working atmosphere improve.

    Cons

Senior leadership is big on talking about taking care of people, and then doing the exact opposite. Their decision making is all over the board, which makes it a very depressing place to work. It is always the "flavor of the month" with senior leadership, and before any possible chance of seeing whether a course of action is possibly correct or not they simply change direction

    Advice to Management

Hire good people and get out of their way!!
