    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at John Crane full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent place to learn how to be a part of a department with no oversight or metrics and in turn never have to be responsible for outcomes or performance.

    Cons

Extremely disorganized and constant turnover from upper management, severe red tap makes processing anything a complete nightmare, and too many departments involved in others business (lack of defined scope for departments).

I worked at John Crane full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great people, great potential to regain market leadership.

    Cons

Speak up professionally to suggest how a problem was resolved in the past, and you are not a team player. Lean to excessive degree, causing major morale problems throughout. No team atmosphere between departments. Sea of red tape paralyzes work flow. Price & delivery not competitive. Customers not first. Core problems are not communicated to most senior managers out of fear. Smiths likely has no idea what's going on...delivery, quality & morale problems.
