      Pros

Benefits Compensation Easy to move into other functional areas Very ethical company

      Cons

Old Boys Club (very misogynistic in factory environment), locations are predominantly small cities (60k people) in the Midwest, high stress environment, lengthy processes to make changes/ improvements/ solve problems, cross functional teams do not have goals that are aligned which leads to little support between groups

      Pros

Company really cares about their people, many employee resource groups, competitive pay for interns, subsidized housing when working in-person, lots of intern events, very accommodating and thorough response to remote working during summer 2020.

      Cons

If you're not from Iowa or the midwest, the majority of their locations are far from family

      Good Compensation, Challenging Work

      Pros

Long history with a beloved brand. Pay is competitive and can be good in up years. People need to eat so agriculture will be around even in tough times.

      Cons

The work is rewarding but the company expects a lot from employees. The locations can tend to be in remote areas of the Midwest which could also be a positive depending on what you are looking for.

      Pros

The company has many areas for you to explore. Pay was pretty good for the location. Interns have lots of opportunities to learn and meet each other. 401k package for interns.

      Cons

The locations are mostly in the Midwest, which is a drastic difference if you are used to a big city.

      Pros

The people are so nice and respectful. Classic midwest nice attitude. So much opportunity for pay raises by switching groups and amazing bonus’s at the end of the year. Usually 5k-10k If you’ve worked a full year. 1 and 1/2 weeks off for Christmas and new years due to factory shutdown.

      Cons

It’s not sunny California in the midwest.

Great Company To Work For - Some Locations Can Be Hard To Live In

Oct 24, 2019 - Product Development Engineer in Waterloo, IA
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Compensation and benefits are competitive. Work culture is pretty laid back, the company listens to employees and make improvement based on employee surveys.

      Cons

Some locations, especially in the Midwest, are hard to live in if you're not from the Midwest. Iowa is an acquired taste.
