    Great team and mediocre pay

Nov 10, 2022 - ER Technician in Walnut Creek, CA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

You work with a great team of medical professionals. We get to have our hands in a lot of things and comparative to some facilities, scope of practice is much larger. However, we’re not allowed to do phlebotomy (even though it’s in job postings as recommended).

    Cons

Management has a tendency to play favorites. Pay is lowest of all surrounding hospitals.. and across the Bay Area. Few educational opportunities for growth and development. Constantly short staffed.

    Great company to work with.

    Cons

Seniority sucks for new nurses. Increase the night shift differential. Literally the only hospital in Bay area with low night shift differential.
