Human Resources is slow on everything and does not repond to emails or phone calls, raises are terrible, some management bases decisions based on personal and not business which hurts the business.

I worked at Johns Hopkins Health System full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Steady Paycheck, mediocre healthcare (which is shocking for a health care company).

    Cons

Quite a bit of back-stabbing and cloak-and-dagger politics. Employees asked for honest feedback on a Gallop pole, but when management did not like the response people were singled out and removed from work force.

    Advice to Management

If you ask for feedback take the feedback and make the office better, instead of just removing the employees who care enough to speak up. Sniping management is one thing, but when your employees give you honest and earnest feedback for the betterment of the office and the company - you should listen.

I worked at Johns Hopkins Health System full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Previous WFH/work from home cancelled for re-organization

    Cons

Constant changes in management & high turnover.
Extra work to help Claims Dept with denied codes on claims besides regualr work.
Lots of different IT systems to review/research to do work.
Denied medical records still comes in as "hard copies" not electronically scanned; therefore, alot of paper review

    Advice to Management

High speed scanner to streamline efficiency
Implement WFH to help with morale
More positive feedback to staff to help morale
    Stabilize management & processes

    Pros

Secure RN job with a large hospital that has a large selection of nursing positions and any field you are looking for.

    Cons

So large they don't cater to the individual, you get lost in the big boys club. Medical coverage has really declined.

  8. "Good Health Care"
