    Pros

Great healthcare/wellness program for a younger healthy person. Great coworkers/team. Incredible focus on safety. Pride in workplace. Leadership with vision. Willing to invest resources in developing personnel. Transparency.

    Cons

Specific plant felt like a stepping stone within corporate management ladder. Being around fiberglass and sand particulates is probably not the best for long term health.

    Advice to Management

Listen and show respect to your experienced operators.

I have been working at Johns Manville full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Berkshire backing, GREAT people, focus on doing the right thing for employees and customers. The people I work with like to have fun at work -- and can do that and be productive at the same time. Lots of loyalty. I get a lot of autonomy and am allowed to try new things. My boss is amazing and works on developing me.

    Cons

Decisions have to go all the way to the top and this slows things down. Cyclical industry. Not enough classroom training available for leadership skills given size of company.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the times we live in have changed. Address what younger workers want. You have a pension and lots of vacation but the new people don't have either. Find a way to give more flexibility.
