I have been working at Johnson Matthey full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fair pay. Standard vacation. The 401K is great, but reduced to average because it is only based on your base salary. Lots of opportunities for overtime as well. Management is very laid back. Not a fast paced environment.

    Cons

Rotating 12 hour shift schedule. Hard to balance work/ life. There is no employee hand book, so management seems to do what ever they want when it comes to your schedule and overtime. There is also a lot of personal liability that comes with working in this industry. Low amount of man power currently for the work load.

    Advice to Management

Their should be a lot more technical training offered to employees in production and maintenance. The room for error is small. And There is a much higher cost to recover the money of 1 lost batch that is usually worth several million dollars.
