I have been working at Johnson & Johnson full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Strong company with rich history; Great leadership at top; Limited leadership in middle at corporate

    Cons

Work life balance terrible; Too many VPs/Overhead especially at Corporate drives culture of isolation and protecting empires versus doing what is right for the patient according to the Credo and the shareholder

    Advice to Management

Need analysis of VP structure; should recommend different hurdles for becoming VP including posting of entry level VPs to drive better vetting versus favoritism; overall need less VPs to create shareholder value

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Johnson & Johnson as a contractor (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Direct employee benefits are excellent.

    Cons

Too many contractors and temps, so there are few opportunities for ladder-climbing, and politics are now valued more than ability.

    Advice to Management

Treat your lower-level employees, including contractors and temps, as human beings. Remember, they do the bulk of the work and should have a voice, especially since you risk losing too much knowledge as they rotate out.
