I have been working at Juilliard School full-time

    Pros

Students are inspiring. The name is recognized worldwide.

    Cons

Salaries are too low. Too much turnover among staff and new faculty. Too many faculty and administration have been around too long and are resistant to change.

Pay people what they're worth. Allow people to grow and contribute.

I have been working at Juilliard School part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

High caliber, high energy work environment with excellent and engaged students. The theory professors are excellent mentors, and the TFship is a definite resume booster.

    Cons

The BFs at Juilliard are grossly underpaid. Especially considering the cost of living in NYC as well as at the price of education at Juilliard, the compensation is shamefully small.

I have been working at Juilliard School full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Super low salaries--those at the very top or those who are friends of those on top make a unproportionable decent salary.

    Advice to Management

Create growth opportunities for those that have worked hard and have been loyal and committed to the institution. Stop giving preferences and unfair advantages to your unqualified friends.
