I have been working at Juilliard School (More than 3 years)
Great environment to work in.
Directors will deny PTO will be denied, stating employee's presence is irreplaceable, and advising to carry PTO over in perpetuity.
I worked at Juilliard School full-time
Career development and training opportunities
Multiple holidays and summer Fridays
Open community feel
Not much variety in terms of food options close by
great students and location, good production
poor pay, no benefit for some divisions, very traditional, elitism, sexism
Advice to Management
increase pay and the respect towns your faculty and staff

Located in Lincoln Center, NYC
Culturally Enriching Environment
Amazing People to Work With
Easy Commute - Very Close to Subway
Opportunity to see and hear the best talent in the world
The pay is sub-par, but close to industry standard in many IT and administrative positions.
I worked at Juilliard School (More than 8 years)
Inspiring environment; access to world class performances; most departments are easy to work with
high turnover; low salary; slow with innovating and use of technology...
Advice to Management
more pay to staff employees
I have been working at Juilliard School full-time (Less than a year)
It's an exciting environment with great students and great energy.
I do not like the people I work with. They are catty, judgmental and make blanket statements about people. It's impossible to do well if you hate your environment. I have never felt supported by the people I work with and never got the chance.

Great vacation time and wonderful students.
The compensation is poor. Many are underpaid.
I have been working at Juilliard School full-time
Supportive environment in which to work.
None at all. Loved every second.
I have been working at Juilliard School full-time (More than 10 years)
Prestige. Talented students. Many brilliant and generous faculty members
Beautiful facility. Lincoln Center with wonderful performing venues
No job security, year to year contracts. Lesser salaries than other university programs. Sexism and ageism.
The ivory tower and elitism of the school can be suffocating for the students. Excessive pressure on product can lead to unhealthy behaviors in the student body.
Fun place, free concerts, great culture
Salary is not amazing, but vacation is great!
