    Pros

People first is the company policy. Employyes are trusted, are treated with respect no matter how the performance is

    Cons

Improvements can be made so Decision making is a little more democratic.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and please try to retain good talent.

I have been working at Juniper Networks full-time

    Pros

Still some solid people in HR trying to make a difference. "Comfortable" work environment which allows for balanced life. Turned around layoff trend for two years.

    Cons

Multiple rounds of layoffs this year. Worst kept secret that more on the way. Most of our HR leaders have left leaving us biz leaders to manage on our own. Not innovating our way to revenue growth so focus on extreme cost-cutting. Short-term focus prevents long-term growth. Impacting culture, values and innovation. Passive and uncertain HR team - third CHRO in three years fostering environment of distrust. Talent no longer matters.

    Advice to Management

Don't believe your own press. Old articles proclaiming HR success no longer accurate, and neither is Watermark award to CEO "who gets it."

The company has too many politics. The morale is really low. It is hard to keep good people.

    Advice to Management

    There is no leadership.

I have been working at Juniper Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work-Life flexibility and balance, benefits, culture, salary

    Cons

Siloed, not much room or capability for growth within teams, disorganized. Heavy focus on the technical side and less on the business or marketing importance. Lacks innovation

    Advice to Management

A little disorganized as an organization. Juniper exploded in revenue and workforce too soon and therefore a makeshift parameter and business structure was put in place to accommodate. Would be beneficial to revisit how the company is organized.

    Pros

    1. Good Management

I really felt my manager, mentors and team were invested in my experience at Juniper Networks, and helping me grow as a developer.

    2. Good pay for interns

    3. Beneficial projects for interns

For interns, the projects you get to work on are projects engineers are already working on at Juniper Networks, and on these projects you have the opportunity to make an impact during your time there.

    4. Special Intern Events

    Cons

There were no cons for me.

    Advice to Management

    Keep growing the intern program.

I worked at Juniper Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Differentiated products
    Good working environment

    Cons

No shared goals or vision, just this constant insistence to move fast but without any destination in mind.
Almost totally focused on service providers, missing a massive opportunity with enterprise customers.
Wasting the differentiation they have in cutting-edge products by constantly prioritizing cash cow business that isn't growing.
Trying to resuscitate a dead security portfolio.

    Advice to Management

You need substantial change in your marketing leadership, they are a massive part of the problem.
Sell off the security portfolio, you're never going to turn it around especially with marketing in the chaos it's in.
Fish or cut bait with the enterprise business. Right now it's just a distraction from the service provider business and needs substantial investment to build its momentum.
