I worked at Just Energy (Less than a year)

    Pros

None! this company is a scam, do not fall for false promises!

    Cons

Originally was supposed to be from Monday to Friday but they scammed people with that. If you want the promised income you need to work over 48 hrs.
Originally promised 500$ per 40 hrs in a week, but at the end the income is 11.40$ which not explained in the beginning
Training period is a joke, they concentrate in fake process
Coworkers not helpful, the drivers do their personal matters during working hours, you end up in a van driving around Toronto for over 3 hours
The return after the sales time is awful, they drop you wherever they want, not helpful
Lunch time in a parking lot, no respect sometimes, due to the travel time in the van

    Advice to Management

Respect your workers, respect your offers, STOP SCAMMING people, specially young people!

I have been working at Just Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work for top performers, rewarding and enabling career growth if you are in the rockstar category. You have tons of authority, breadth of scope, and ability to work on projects of interest as an analyst. Lots of different areas to learn, and decent opportunity to move around. Many examples of BA's that have moved through the ranks to become VP's around the organization. Really good benefits. Depending on role, may have good work flexibility.

    Cons

Shared corporate services pit regional teams against each other for resources. Marketing department provides underwhelming support. Can be high stress, high workloads at times. Company has a mixed to negative reputation at large, mostly due to the older days where D2D sales and high pressure sales tactics were common place.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on international expansion, and NPS. Invest in more high calibre talent for the marketing department - consider cross-industry experience. Put a little more emphasis on getting the job done right vs getting the job done fast. Continue to focus on business process improvement. Consistently reward high performers and do a better job of mapping their career path.
