I worked at Just Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked with some nice people in the lower ranks.

    Cons

Senior sales management provides no direction other than holding Monday morning calls. These calls consist of yelling at sales and threatening to fire them if numbers don’t improve. HR’s main goal is to reduce headcount to save company money.

    Advice to Management

Quit telling people to write positive reviews to offset true negative experiences and actually make changes. For the people reading this review, management won’t change anything because they are the ones who are at fault. Stay away!

I have been working at Just Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This place has great benefits and room for growth. There is a woman council that pushes for woman empowerment and salary is reasonable with great incentives and bonuses. I'm happy to extend the opportunity to others.

    Cons

Being in such a large company makes it difficult to get to know everyone in our corporate office. However, corporate does a great job in keeping open communication with everyone in the network.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I worked at Just Energy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good room for growth and income on the sales level, good health benefits and other perks, flexible hours for corporate employees, good incentives for sales reps. Best energy products and plans to sell in the market.

    Cons

Lack of communication, very long hours 6 days a week for sales reps, often asked to work unpaid on days off or attend tons of "team building" events that last for hours but mostly just consist of team getting drunk together, unprofessional work environment, sketchy and misleading (not to mention sometimes illegal) interviewing and hiring practices, door to door sales in a dead market, rampant favoritism and sexism, low quality and poorly educated leadership, employees guilted into not taking PTO or sick days, leaders consistently use "scare tactics" and fear mongering in order to get results, constant turnover in all levels of the company, lack of empathy or compassion for employees, toxic work environment, they are desperate and will hire almost anyone, no loyalty to the employees that actually DO stay on.

    Advice to Management

Get your communication together, stop relying solely on door to door, pay corporate employees more and higher base wages for sales reps, motivate your employees rather than scare them into making quota by constantly putting their job on the line. Stop misleading candidates in the job interview.

I have been working at Just Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Just Energy changed my life coming out of college. I initially started working due to the earning potential as a sales rep and have since grown rapidly in the company. The earning potential is amazing, the energy industry is a Trillion dollar industry. However the growth opportunity is ridiculous. You’re in COMPLETE CONTROL over your income and growth! Everyone on the team is looking to assist each other in growing. Just Energy is HUGE on innovation which keeps us at the forefront of the industry. Employees are truly valued, which is hard to find. With the ongoing learning and development, I’m personally looking to stay with the company for at least the next 35 years and retire.

    Cons

I’ve stared at this box thinking of what I would change.
    Nothing.

    Advice to Management

Let’s continue to brand ourselves EVERYWHERE. Billboards, commercials, retail locations, sponsorships, and possibly purchasing a stadium/arena.
