I worked at Just Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Workday starts at 11:30 am. Sales meeting for one hour, then you drive to the stores. Mandatory unpaid lunch hour. Off work by 7:00 pm. If you are a recent graduate with no experience, he will hire you. Convenient location in Greenwood on South Side of Indy.

    Cons

The commission schedule they make you sign is totally different from what the ringmaster presents to you when he's trying to CON you into agreeing to take the job. There is a quota of $500 in commission, if you don't make it, you are told you have a "bad attitude" and sent home for a week unpaid. The first $500 commission goes to offset your hourly pay, so it's basically a draw, but he refuses to call it that. His website is professional, but just like his advertisements for employment , they are just templates copied from another marketing company with Just Marketing, Inc. substituted for the other company name. He expects a six day week so if you need two days off, you have to call in and lie about having an emergency. Also the PAID TRAINING IS ONLY ONE HOUR A DAY. This manager is out of his league. He might have been a good salesman but he is not as good as a manager. Unfortunately he owns the company so if you disagree with him, you might as well leave Just Marketing, Inc. and find a truthful company that will actually give you realistic opportunity to meet your goals as a salesman.

    Advice to Management

JUST tell people up front that they are going to be hired into a MLM SCHEME and that 99% of the people you hire will quit disgusted and disappointed. JUST Present the commission structure honestly. JUST disclose the quota up front, instead of doing a disservice to naive recent graduates who believe in you. To rehash, JUST be honest about the pay structure up front, stop telling people that 4 sales gets them $600 weekly commission plus the hourly pay. JUST take your own advice, and JUST under promise and over deliver when you PITCH THE JOB.

    Pros

Overly inflated compensation and bonuses due to lack of industry information and benchmarking. So the pay was good. Exciting indusrty and opportunity to travel to cool places.

    Cons

No support or communication from upper management. Very "siloed" organization and everyone is out for themselves. I you want a raise you need to be in the right department and have the gumption to ask every day for a long time. It will finally come but at a high price of doubled or tripled work load. Don't have a family life and work at this place. You are expected to eat, sleep, live, and breath this place.

    Advice to Management

Get trained on how to treat people and each other. Work as a "team" and not just a bunch of individulas trying to get one over on the rest.

    Pros

Relaxed working environment, some good managers to work for. Typically a good stepping stone to a better career with more advancement, senior leadership is complacent and happy to be where they are and not going anywhere. <-- = no career advancement.

    Cons

Internal politics take precedent too often

    Advice to Management

    review senior leadership

I worked at Just Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Traveling to motorsports events.
    Working in a sports industry.
    Free coffee.
    HR Director was terrific.
    Some good people.

    Cons

If you love being in meetings all day and getting nothing out of them, here's your place.
Lack of communication between senior directors and employees.
    No follow-up on anything.
    Loads of backstabbers.
Hire people - often - then try to figure out what that person should actually do.
Despite hiring often, also letting go of people often.

    Advice to Management

    No advice.
