    Pros

easy-going vibe. benefits are fairly decent. 401K match is pretty decent.

    Cons

upper management seems stymied by bureaucracy and policy-making. upper and middle management don't seem to be tuned in to how to get the most out of the skills and knowledge of their people. peter principle is in full force.

    Advice to Management

ditch the bureaucratic red tape, unleash innovators and innovation, reward the producers

I worked at Kärcher full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people at the lower levels, gym on site.

    Cons

Horrible HR department that cannot be trusted. Upper management is clueless and sits on the 4th floor and will not interact with anyone but those that are in the C Suite. Terrible morale and culture that is only getting worse as time goes on. So many good people are let go yet upper management continues to flourish and are not held accountable.

    Advice to Management

First, get a clue! Get out of your offices and actually talk to the people that are doing the work; you might actually find out what some of the real problems are and be able to make a positive change. The ENTIRE HR department needs to be let go. They are a cancer to the organization and are not there to help the employees.

    Pros

Huge opportunity for growth across multiple distribution channels

    Cons

Management team has no clue how to capture the opportunity and they have near zero regard for their employees. Culture is as bad as it gets. People are consistently leaving or being fired.

    Advice to Management

Understand the true abilities of the people you still have on board. There's more talent than you realize.

I worked at Kärcher full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

401K is good, health club on site.

    Cons

There is no leadership in us or from the parent. Executive management is not engaged with the customer or the employee and letting the CEO go is not enough. They need to start over. A recent restructure eliminated mostly people that were willing to take risks and provide visionary perspectives. The "yes' people they kept will not get them to the next level. HR is not aligned with the employee. Too much infighting between divisions, leaving employees confused and with no direction.

    Advice to Management

If you don't know by now, I am not sure further advice will help.

    Pros

Great place to work with a lot of attention to work/life balance. It's new headquarters is awesome.

    Cons

The company is going through a transition that sometimes makes it difficult to see a clear path, but its German parent company is strong and I am sure this success will come here.

    Advice to Management

Good people who are smart and challenged. A little distant due to the challenges but they often shine.

I have been working at Kärcher full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits minus vacation. Lots of great dedicated long term employees. Make great products but do need more focus on quality.

    Cons

Executive team is totally clueless as to how to run the business. Forecasting is nonexistent and there's very little loyalty to the employees. Too many long term employees who are not held accountable. Too many managers and higher considering the company's economic situation. Wages not competitive with market.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees more and communicate more honestly. Do a better job of recognizing your workforce. Don't take your employees for granted.
