    Pros

Great place to work with a lot of attention to work/life balance. It's new headquarters is awesome.

    Cons

The company is going through a transition that sometimes makes it difficult to see a clear path, but its German parent company is strong and I am sure this success will come here.

    Advice to Management

Good people who are smart and challenged. A little distant due to the challenges but they often shine.

I have been working at Kärcher full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits minus vacation. Lots of great dedicated long term employees. Make great products but do need more focus on quality.

    Cons

Executive team is totally clueless as to how to run the business. Forecasting is nonexistent and there's very little loyalty to the employees. Too many long term employees who are not held accountable. Too many managers and higher considering the company's economic situation. Wages not competitive with market.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees more and communicate more honestly. Do a better job of recognizing your workforce. Don't take your employees for granted.

    Pros

Nice people. Comfortable place to work. Solid ethics and honesty. People work exceptionally hard. Culture has gotten better...more fun.

    Cons

The industry is in a downturn and the company has responded to keep profitability. They had a reduction in force last year and have been very aggressive in watching costs. When people leave management has been stingy with backfilling people. Work loads are through the roof and employees are at their breaking limit. My work load is up tremendously without so much as a thank you or good job. No appreciation from leadership.

    Advice to Management

You are always behind closed doors - get up and walk around departments - ask employees how they are doing what we could do better. Employees would appreciate the opportunity to tell you how we feel..perhaps you will get a better sense of what is happening behind the numbers.
