    Pros

GOOD people who TRY and to execute their position goals

    Cons

Internal processes that limit productivity, management not on the same page always changing direction (Hov-nesia) .

    Advice to Management

Allow divisions to execute at their local level and not be strangeled by corporate mandated standards / processes. Keep land acquisition in check and scrutinize their proposed building costs / selling prices. Better coordination needed between departments for 'impulse' changes.

    Pros

Beautiful designs, great communities, "some" knowledgeable managers, "some" great coworkers

    Cons

Terrible favoritism based on gender and looks, high turnover, very little training, shuffling of Sales Consultants to unfinished communities,

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to staff requesting assistance and not only to pretty woman and brown nosers.

    Pros

They work hard to get the newest technology to help do your job. Good PTO and personal days.

    Cons

Upper management fails to listen to the people below them or choose not to listen to certain ones (very clicky). Behind on the times with other builders around them. They also fail to change any designs or implement new designs or options that homeowners ask for.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times and look at the other local builders around you and see how they are progressing ahead of a nationwide company.

I have been working at K. Hovnanian Homes full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    You have job and benefits.

    Cons

Outdated product, incentives inferior to competition, and be glad you have a job from upper management. The worst land acquisitions to try to sell. Cheap inferior labor resulting in poor workmanship and quality. Cheap materials. The most dysfunctional purchasing dept. that never knows who is on first base. Too much corporate control by big egos. If you enjoy doing everyone's job to get your job done here is the place.

    Advice to Management

Over dosing the sale managers on training when your interior operation is a train wreck will not make you profitable.

    Pros

Awesome new home designs that aren't boxes. Insurance was decent through Cinga.

    Cons

Division was sold off so company could pay its bills. Company has to many chiefs that do not communicate well or tell their employees the truth!

    Pros

Benefits good and the Pay decent

    Cons

The most disorganized company I have ever worked for
The systems they have in place are extremely difficult to use- needlessly
If they would run their business regionally it would e MUCH better.
Employees have NO input - Their system to give input is so difficult to use- it is useless.

    Advice to Management

    Run your business regionally
