I have been working at K&G full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy work load, simple and basic merchandising, very relaxed environment, pay is a above average for most retail stores, get to educate consumers on fashion

    Cons

Too much focus on "metrics" and not on making sales.. ..bottom line is making money, not numbers.. ..the company is stuck with an "old school" mentality

    Advice to Management

Drop the suggestive sales and let the stores sell suits, we are forced to talk people out of buying if they aren't "adding on" with their sleeves.. ..smart managers know how to manipulate numbers to achieve corporate goals which are hindering sales

    I worked at K&G part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not too much of an busy environment. Employees are friendly. Understanding of personal circumstances.

    Cons

Standing on your feet for long periods of time. Training was very brief, had to learn quickly by yourself.

    Advice to Management

Try to train employees better. Spend time with them. Be more personable and open, seeing as though you are a manager and it is important to have communication/personal skills.

    I have been working at K&G full-time

    Pros

This is a great entrepreneurial company! You learn a lot and get to wear more hats than you would at a larger store.

    Cons

    Not much room for growth.

I have been working at K&G part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The other colleagues mostly and two of the managers. When the other managers are working it s a free flow environment but when the main manager is working, the work place becomes tense.

    Cons

No where to sit, no raise, not enough people, and no newer merchandise

    I worked at K&G part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I really like the environment. The coworkers were so friendly toward one another. Not like your average retail job experience.

    Cons

The managers were often petty toward one another. The store is so huge that you need multiple managers there a time. The dynamic to me was ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves. I dont see the purpose of competition between you all. The people you try to manage seen it.
