I have been working at K12 (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people that care about making a difference for the families we serve

Reasonable pay and benefits, with bonus opportunity for most

Most Executives are approachable and truly care about your feedback

Opportunities abound for those willing to go the extra mile

Diverse workforce, with strong female representation at senior levels

Probably the best group of people I have ever worked with

    Cons

Long hours required at times, meaning work/life balance gets out of whack during peak season (which is often the summer for support teams)

Communication is difficult in a predominantly virtual workforce and some don't feel connected to the bigger K12

    Advice to Management

    Commmunicate, communicate, communicate.

Make sure employees feel your passion.

Current Employee - Document Processor in Herndon, VA

    Pros

The job is only for you if you can bear the following:

    -Listen to your music
    -Sitting down
    -Computer based
    -Great people
    -Decent Money
    -Easy job

    Cons

There are not many cons as a full-time employee. I mean the pay can be more, but it can also be less for the simplicity of the work.

    -Monotonous
    -Very detail

    Advice to Management

I do not have any advice for the management of the document processing department, but outside of the sector, the enrollment department could be more cohesive. It seems like it is DP's vs. phone agents, but it is all one department.
