Pros
My team consists of some of the best individuals I've ever worked with. Telework is available for most positions and helps make commuting and working from home much easier and more bearable. K12 is extremely flexible about dress code and work/life balance.
Cons
There is a lot of feeling like you are unable to speak up to management with disagreements, whether disagreeing about methods or direction. The attitude of middle management is very much "my way or the highway" and escalating issues to upper management doesn't result in anything effective. If you are fortunate enough to have a good manager you will thrive; if not you will have a hard time. Also compensation is not exactly amazing when compared to the industry averages.
