    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Very family friendly

    Cons

Major disconnect from the office to the people working in and running field opperations.

    Advice to Management

Take off your suit, get out of your comfy chair, make a different persona, go out into thw field as a "new hire" and see just how hard the trade base makes the construction of new homes. Try and actually try and relate to the field opperations without your name everyone knows and your "title"

    Pros

Great Co-Workers and they really don't micro manage.

    Cons

Higher base prices for the home while still offering first time home buyer options.

    Advice to Management

Realize that your are now building the homes YOU yourself would buy.

    Pros

Compensation, benefits, coworkers are all very good and are what keeps you employed with this company. You will not work with a better support staff and field staff

    Cons

They get more than their money's worth. Working people right out the door. I've seen supers suffer from mild strokes due to stress and quality lacks due their unreasonably fast build schedule.
Management is purposely oblivious to the moral of the field staff and choose not to make significant changes which will lead to loosing their most seasoned field staff eventually

    Advice to Management

take care of your staff and set reasonable goals

    Pros

Decent pay, great benefits and made a few great references and friends.

    Cons

This is the most dysfunctional work environment I've ever been in. If you are a brown noser and worked at Pulte you will do great here since that seems to be the common theme among those that are promoted and treated well. Otherwise, the ceiling is very low and the trust and respect for the employees is little. You are a little fish in a big pond and that is most definitely the way it feels. Unfortunately, management is so busy playing favorites that they don't actually see who is a talented asset and who is just blowing smoke.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Training program is fantastic, they are serious about having capable, well prepared, and trained sales people on the floor before unleashing them to customers.

    Cons

Managers could be very rude and inconsiderate. Your life and ability to thrive depends on whether the managers and VP like you or not. Otherwise they can make your life difficult by tasking you to do meaningless duties, have you run from community to community, not approve sales, etc.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of good people

    Cons

I worked here during a very dark time in the Construction industry.

    Pros

Good Salaries and decent benefits. They do a good job of corporate branding and team building.

    Cons

It is an economic home builder that wants to crank out economic houses for good margins. There is nothing wrong with this, but it feels more like an assembly line rather than a premier developer. Corporate executives make decisions on local communities even though they lack micro economic knowledge on these metros. Decisions are often made like high frequency wall street traders....in essence if executives read a headline that the home market is slowing they could be firing, if they read a headline that says otherwise they will hire. So basically there is not a lot of stability or long-term strategy. It is make a profit quickly at any expense. They are not thinking of 5 or 10 years from now.

    Pros

Name is ok depending on division, decent experience, some of the people are great

    Cons

No opportunity for advancement, way too much corporate reporting, only thing that matters is what people in LA think, no decision making at the local level whatsoever

    Pros

    Cons

The company tried very hard to portray a "shiny" image when things were in chaos in the office. Of course this was during the building boom of a few years ago and things may be totally different today.
