    Great training and good growth opportunity. Good benefits.

    Cons

    It took a lot longer to build a house than we told our buyers, so dealing with upset homeowners and waiting a long time to be paid commissions.

    Pros

    Great training program, 401k, uniforms.

    Cons

    The compensation not equal to responsibility. Sales reps are responsible for generating almost all of their own traffic, getting all needed documents for home loan counselor, calling buyers to check on loan status, scheduling all appointments from contract to close. The only holidays the sales offices are closed is Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and New years day. Management only communicates to ask how many sales you have for the week and if you don't have any, they don't care enough to ask why. They somehow overlook the dishonest sales reps, because as long as they are making sales, KB doesn't care WHAT the sales rep lied to the buyer about, as it is clearly stated in the contract that they can not be held liable for anything that the sales rep said. The employees talk trash about each other, sales managers talk trash about sales reps in front of other sales reps(from different properties).

    Pros

    Working in a nice, comfortable new home in growing areas of town offering home ownership to first time home buyers was the only good thing about working for this company

    Cons

    untrained, non-supportive sales managers using aggressive language and actions toward sales associates, Unrealistic sales quotas. Assigned communities are typically the furthest from the sales associates home making work life balance non-existant

    Pros

    The focus for KBHome is being the most customer obsessed builder and I love how we take care our buyers and the processes we have in place.

    Cons

    There is so much emphasis on the buyers but not on the employees who work there. The work culture is poor and you feel you're not a valued member of an organization. The Sales Counselors give up their weekends and Holidays and you also find that you work on your days off. The turn over is high and quality of life is a major problem.
