If being micromanaged is your thing, work for KB

      Pros

Great benefits, great training if you're a new or junior agent.

      Cons

Upper management has low level sales managers to micromanage the sales agents, several huddle calls a week to identify sales, high sales pressure, no respect for sales agents or the customers. strong focus on CSI - customer reviews, pay off customers to get a 10 when it is not deserved, terrible qualify and workmanship. They claim to be customer obsessed, but you can't tell the customer that just in case they call you out on it. Reports, reports, reports just to make corporate LA happy. 5 rolling sales a week plus one contract appointment, 25 calls a day even if they are all fake. I asked how I could have 5 appointments and 25 calls my first week and my manager said to make them up. Have "green" vs. "red" reports matter more than the actual sales. They take bad sales and take the cancellation when it convenient for sales number. I could go on, but you get the picture. Go work elsewhere unless you are a new agent and need the training. Stay and get trained and then leave. You're blood pressure will thank you.

      KB-Great Company- LONG HOURS

      Pros

Great training program, most of the management team is understanding and helpful. Great company benefits...Health care was top notch! You have the opportunity to make a ton of money.

      Cons

You really never have a day off. You are glued to your phone dealing with issues that arise on your days off and on vacation. Absolutely no work/familylife balance. Plan on working every holiday except Christmas and Thanksgiving. Long hours! Most offices are 2-3 man shops so you are constantly having to fight for leads.

KB Home, a great place for liars to work.

      Pros

      Great training program, 401k, uniforms.

      Cons

The compensation not equal to responsibility. Sales reps are responsible for generating almost all of their own traffic, getting all needed documents for home loan counselor, calling buyers to check on loan status, scheduling all appointments from contract to close. The only holidays the sales offices are closed is Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and New years day. Management only communicates to ask how many sales you have for the week and if you don't have any, they don't care enough to ask why. They somehow overlook the dishonest sales reps, because as long as they are making sales, KB doesn't care WHAT the sales rep lied to the buyer about, as it is clearly stated in the contract that they can not be held liable for anything that the sales rep said. The employees talk trash about each other, sales managers talk trash about sales reps in front of other sales reps(from different properties).
