    Pros

fun wile it lasted. Fun people to work with. Christmas time was the best.

    Cons

store is not open any more. Miss the old days. To bad the company is no longer opened.

    Advice to Management

should have lowed prices and let the store managers run the store. They would have still been open if they did.

    Pros

The stores always carried the best toys and carried the latest "hot" items. It was a fun place to work at!

    Cons

Stores are poorly managed by the company. I always see they stock the stores WAY to much and employees could barely move in the back room where the merchandise was stored. The company also hired district managers that were clueless and very ignorant to the needs of the company and forced many store managers to quit and leave their positions.

I worked at KB Toys full-time

    Pros

I gained a lot of valuable experience in customer services, conflict management, accounting, and human resources.

    Cons

I actually worked there from 2003-2005 when my store was closed due to Ch. 11 bankruptcy. It was devastating to our staff who had worked so hard, pooling our creative efforts to increase sales.

    Advice to Management

Do more with less. Focus on niche items rather than being so diversified with products. Clearance is ok, but do not discount the items so much that you devalue them.

    Pros

I have contracted through various companies, KB Toys is a company with a different approach to its customer and its employees and that is probably one of the reason for a high retention rate.

    Cons

Communication Strategy in social media needs tobe Improved. All good things about the company like new business wins needs to be communicated by twitter or other social media

    Advice to Management

Improve the Communication through Social Media so that all the employees are well informed of the new clients which can be communicated to the clients. This also can be a great referral from a recruitment perspective.

I worked at KB Toys (More than a year)

    Pros

I was a store manager. Great family like business when it was up and running. Full control of demo for toys to sell. Our crew was more than managers and employees, we could all openly talk to each other and share ideas to help the store.

    Cons

This company has been out of business (Filed full Bankruptcy) for about 6 years. This was a nationwide closure

    Advice to Management

Reopen the stores. Give the store managers control of their business, not corporate pockets. If KB Toys was to reopen today, I would happily be a store manager again. I despise walking into a Toys R Us. KB Toys was the best
