I have been working at KBR full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

good starting company for employees wanting to enter the skilled craft field, some great people out in the field. great safety program

    Cons

very poor money management they still rent tools they had in the 1970's. Upper supervision is lost at best. they hurt themselves with all the useless rules they put onto the employees. no one wants to communicate and what the boss says goes do not expect to have any imput and management will not fallow the same rules they make for the employees.

    Advice to Management

leave and let a group come in that wants to be there and work with the customer and employees. start recruiting from within the company instead of hiring brothers, friends, and that guy down the street that is retired.

I worked at KBR full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay ,with plenty of opportunity for overtime . Saftey and doing quality work were priority.

    Cons

Manangement stuck in their ways . Employee's all talk about everyone behind theirs backs . You are just a number to the company . I worked thier all year and they took one day of holiday pay for Thanksgiving and moved it to Chistmas week , then laid off 5 people a week before Christmas break and cheated all of them out of 1 day of holiday pay that they had worked for not to mention Christmas holiday .

    Advice to Management

You treat people like they dont matter give preferential treatment to a select few ,you shouldnt wonder why the skilled workers who do come there either leave as soon as they can , and search for something better or do not return if things get slow for a month or so .

    Cons

No work in the future, no paid holidays, little paid time off, no salary overtime

I have been working at KBR full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fantastic department managers. Flexibility. The CEO is trying to get us there. It's very slowly getting better.

    Cons

No raises for almost three years and nor promotions for over two years. Senior Managers and above still get bonuses. Very frustrating. Took away some of our vacation, but gave it back to us recently.

    Advice to Management

If the company is going through a tough time, then no one should receive bonuses unless they bring in the contract.
