Good area to chill and coast, but no room to move up

Aug 10, 2021 - PC Technician in Mechanicsburg, PA

      Pros

Sometimes get overtime on weekends and can make more money. The pay is good for the job that you're doing Very little to no micro managing; you're able to just go in and get your job done on most days

      Cons

No room to move up finically even if you acquire IT certs. It's a contractor job which means you might just get fired one day because the company said we need to save some money. Occasionally have to deal with some change the customer tries to make to make the system faster (these don't last long)

      Pros

Good pay (historically). Good but declining company support to employees, historically

      Cons

KBR purchase has displaced trusted leadership. Benefits future unclear. Corporate communication is buzzword salad.
