I have been working at KBRA full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nice offices in midtown New York, accessible by subway; but old office building in very expensive part of town with a lot of expensive restaurants for lunch

    Cons

People smile, but think bad things about you at the same time; small company with little growth potential in market dominated by the Big 3 ratings companies

I worked at KBRA full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some of the people who work there. The compensation is mostly inline for technical type jobs in the area. They've got beer in the fridge and the CMBS managers try to make the work place fun.

    Cons

As a tech job this place is pretty bad. They really try to have the "startup" atmosphere but it's clearly not a startup. Nothing innovative here technology wise. Just a bunch of web developers who are making very "pretty" php MVC type websites. Technical lead and manager literally have no idea what their talking about but think they do. They like to spout off testing acronyms like SOLID or ask hilariously easy interview questions like what is dependency injection. Yet they couldn't tell you what a link list is or what the benefits / disadvantages of recursion are. Their knowledge is about 5 inches deep in the water. Not only that the technical solutions are about as good as a 4th grader trying to solve a rubix cube. Not only that the technical management is demeaning, demanding and has a lack of the innovative spirit. Personally, if I were in the tech field I'd just stay away.

I worked at KBRA for more than a year

    Pros

The employees at KBRA are very hard working.

    Cons

It is very hard to thrive if you are not a member of the club.(There are many Interpretations to this) There are no checks and balances for management and as a result they often operate without a moral compass.

    I worked at KBRA full-time

    Pros

Professional environment, but employees generally enjoy each other's company and like to hang out on weekends.

    Cons

As an intern, it is up to you to do most of the learning, they won't train you extensively.

    Pros

Growing firm with potential. Senior management makes a strong effort to set a good example.

    Cons

Strict regulatory environment kills the entrepreneurial spirit while closed minded group management does not encourage innovation or out of the box thinking.
