    I worked at KME

    Pros

Different tasks to complete on a daily basis. Decent pay considering the area considering the local employers as a whole regardless of field. Coworkers would stand by each other and were of great help in learning tasks on the fly.

    Cons

Employees have absolutely no input on anything, if we raise concerns they would get brushed off. Parts would never arrive on time yet one would still be expected to somehow rush a truck out to a customer before the parts arrive, often-times a week late. Specifications and wiring diagrams were rarely in agreement with eachother. When hired I was told there would be training. There was absolutely nothing you... could describe as training, you were just thrown at a truck from day one. Pay was drastically below similar jobs in the area.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, implement a more standardized system for resolving problems. Take a close look at the process of truck creation and get actual input from those building the trucks when solving problems instead of just blindly implementing ideas the suits/investors think up that wind up causing more problems. Above all else, be honest with your employees.

I have been working at KME full-time for more than a year

    Pros

its an ok job if you are local and want to work close to home. Lots of family time, not forced to work crazy overtime hours. Get to be around some cool fire trucks.

    Cons

Pay is horrible, you don't get raises unless you're in with the family. even when you get hired and they promise you raises in 90 and 120 days, they will find a way to not give you them. You can work there for 10 years and have a new guy come in and you will train him, to find out he started at a higher salary than you are currently making. Boss' and managers watch you like hawks. Working conditions are sub par at... best

    Advice to Management

Take into consideration what employees have to say. Create an equal pay scale for veterans and new hires.
