I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love the people I work with and the firm hosts a lot of events for networking within the office as well as events to support the surrounding community. Great place to learn and find great mentors. Promotions every year. Opportunities to manage people early in your career.

    Cons

Significant hours during certain parts of the year. Also, if you get stuck on a team that you don't like, work can be miserable.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing since it works. If you wanted to keep people around longer, maybe increase salaries. Not sure if that would work with the business model hierarchy though.

I have been working at KPMG as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great career starting point for a career in any industry, especially the audit practice. Great exposure to industry and business, even as an intern.

    Cons

Hours are incredibly long and your team could be hit or miss. Though the atmosphere is lax, there is still a bit of competition.

    Advice to Management

Extend overtime pay to full time staff

I have been working at KPMG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

25 paid vacation days; fair starting salary right out of college; KPMG paid for my CPA study course and offered $5000 bonus for passing all CPA exams within 1 year of employment; provided with a KPMG mentor who guides you along your career path; you work on mega, Fortune 500 clients which provides a ton of knowledge and growth

    Cons

HUGE corporate culture so sometimes you feel drowned out so to speak; hierarchical; you work a LOT LOT LOT of hours when you have big projects or busy seasons

    Advice to Management

add fun, new, exciting, motivating incentive programs (for example, the $5000 bonus for passing the CPAs was a big incentive for me to take them)
