    Pros

The team was great - bred a good culture within themselves. I learnt a lot from middle level team members.

I worked at KPMG full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Great place to build and develop as a professional, learning from some of the brightest minds. Merit based progression means you can take on more responsibility and progress quickly as long as you are ready and can deliver results. Promotions not based on tenure.

    - Company sponsors professional accounting qualification (CA), including 3 days study leave. Great support with internal classes as well.

    - Good spread of clients in different industries means you can get exposure in sectors which interest you (or find out which ones interest you most, if you don't have a preference, like me when I started).

    - Expect to work hard especially when trying to prove yourself capable of more responsibility or a promotion. But the culture is one which respects people's personal time. Don't expect to be handheld in terms of workload management. If you're getting too busy - say something.

    Cons

    - As in any company, there is an element of politics, but shouldn't worry anyone too much. Focus on the work, and always keep in mind what you are there to achieve on a personal level.

    - Experience and learning is highly dependant on the calibre of your team and line managers. So be proactive in seeking out the best people to work for and learn from.

    - Pay always seems to be slightly below market for equivalent levels. You will need to always be mindful and benchmark what you are worth.

    Advice to Management

    - Partners should be more proactive in talent management for good staff. Teams in each division are quite small (often less than 100 people). Of these people, high potential staff form only a small majority, so a more personal touch is definitely possible. Have more open conservations about career and help them map out how their career might look like at KPMG.

    - You have lost good people due to paying them below expectations as they don't feel they are paid what they are worth. An extra 5-10k over expectations is all it takes to make someone feel well valued, and that would cost less than having to produce a counteroffer at market value.

People always have a good idea of their peers salary and what people have gotten in the past. So that's the baseline expectation.

Employsure is a very fast growing company which makes it an incredibly exciting place to work!
There is a very clear employee focus on career progression with a lot of opportunity to grow within the company.
There is a strong sense of caring and family while working for this company and you really feel like management is willing to get behind you and is rooting for you to succeed.
The people here are amazing and its clear Talent do an incredible job picking people with the same core values which makes the company a really great place to work.
I have never worked for a company as employee focused as Employsure.
Their whole ethos is to improve and keep on improving and to be the greatest - The greatest in their field and the greatest place to work and its just exciting to be apart of!

    Cons

We had a temporary ball pit to signify the achievement of reaching 10,000 clients. The only drawback I can think of is that it was temporary.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing, its working! The teams passion and drive is truly inspirational.
