I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

very involved in the community, support of career growth and gaining of knowledge

    Cons

Does not show appreciation for non-professionals. Majority of activities/communications are geared towards professionals

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Non-professionals receive canned messaging regarding leadership's appreciation, but they do not receive similar benefits - i.e. work/life balance, congratulatory meals, ability to work remotely, opportunities for advancement

I have been working at KPMG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good experience gained from working in the Big 4. Lots of time management and things to do. Can be very fun at times and the challenge is rewarding.

    Cons

The hours are obviously the worst part. You sometimes feel completely out of your league on new audits or clients. Compensation isn't very high for the hours put in.

    Pros

Great exposure to different industries and varieties of work within the accounting/finance world for someone who is unsure of where they want to end up in their career

    Cons

    -easy to burn-out
-poor staffing and high turnover (due to burn-out issues) leads to working ridiculous hours
-Compensation much less than industry jobs

    Advice to Management

Learn to staff jobs properly, as that will lead to much more efficient audits and slow down the constant turnover
