    Pros

Great culture and people want to see you excel and succeed.
Multiple areas and practices to enter and open to exploring.

Directions during orientation can be kind of confusing but you eventually learn.

I worked at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

KPMG invests in its employees completely. Great benefits, included perks like yoga and health classes, early summer Fridays, latest technology and mentorships

    Cons

Working at the help desk is not where you want to be. You'd think after all these years that someone would tap management on the shoulder and let them know that the NUMBER of tickets closed or calls handled is not a measurement of success. That *could* just mean...you closed more tickets and got a lot of people off calls before their issues were resolved.

Too focused on numbers and not the end user who calls in with an issue that needs resolve.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to look in on this and perhaps invest in retraining the heads of the help desk management force so that they can refocus on metrics that matter most FOR THE USER, instead of just closing tickets and concentrating on *value-less* goals.

I worked at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of fun and hard-working people, lots of celebrations and happy hours. A great way to learn a ton, having worked for KPMG makes you very marketable.

    Cons

Long hours and low salaries. Have to work weekends during busy season, which never ends. Not enough guidance provided by those whom you report directly ( some of them don't seem to know enough and tried to avoid answering questions).

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent work like balance. Won't be compelled to stay beyond work hours or work during vacation or weekends
My team is excellent. Very professional.
Very supportive policy of donating vacation for family member bereavement
New clean workplace. Super nice views and fixed cubicle
25 days PTO and year end office closure
All in all a great place to settle down

    Cons

Lack of cross functional team support for technology.
    No true agile process
Secondary treatment of BPG group such as lower pay rise, no phone benefit, absence of travel perks
Management isn't supportive of work from home and considers it to be such a big deal. This is so bemusing!
If you are an immigrant do know only BPG department files h1 but they don't do premium(1600$ on your head fellows) and they wait till the last to file Green card.
No parking allowance, only 50% public transport reimbursement
There is an indirect expectation that you need to be in the office by 9 atleast.
Health insurance is insanely high(it's double the times than other big 4). Get the rates before accepting offer folks! Only ignorant people rate health benefit as excellent here. It's below par considering the cost.

    Advice to Management

Need more collaborative development bringing teams together and making teams smaller
Offshore support is very difficult to manage and costs a lot too because of the regressive development
    Lower health insurance rates
    More technology department training.
All in all If the above few cons is fixed it's a great place to work and I can assure you will have great talents be part of your team but if only..

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exposure to big companies, able to be a leader early on an manage stuff, 25 days of PTO.

    Cons

Often you work long hours even in the slower months because you help out on different clients that have different busy seasons.

    Advice to Management

Emphasize more the work life balance during the off months.

Great leadership in the Mid-America region
    Great opportunity for growth
    Managers will help you succeed

    Cons

    Long hours
Can take away from your personal life
A lot of administrative work that pulls you away from focusing on chargeable work

I worked at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Awesome training, highly motivated people, open to transfers within the company (location or practice), culture of coaching younger staff, clear path of progression within the company for younger employees

    Cons

Long hours, salary could be better in comparison with other big four, not all managers are necessarily "management material", many of the people there are perfectionists to the point where it can sometimes be detrimental to the overall goal of engagements.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote everyone to manager who is a good senior associate, not all "producers" have the soft skills necessary to be successful.
