I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you can find the work you're looking for, it is an excellent place to build a career. Very good benefits, relatively good pay, great people, tons of perks. Consulting can be a crp shoot...some colleagues live a dream life on awesome projects, travel to great places, work with awesome people, get great dinners at Michelin restaurants...others have rotted at the same place for years with no perks. All depends on your client/industry/boss. There is reasonable flexibility to change, the groups are all just very specific other than strategy. You can spin your experience in any way to land in just about any industry after a few years which is great. good brand and you will make good connections. only serve the top industry leaders as clients as well.

    Cons

Pay could be better, especially for straight out of college. too broad of a range in performance/opportunity and that is not reflected in year end pay at all. Awful performers get 0-4%. Absolute top performers who work tirelessly and do tons of internal/external work max out at 10-20%. Promotions can be political. Lot of deadweight in the company. Work is extremely regulatory focused, systems/compliance/tech focused. Very few excited management consulting/strategy projects that college students look for out of college.

I have been working at KPMG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Big 4 accounting firm's experience is a plus for job finding and the experience of reviewing different companies' financial and operational date is crucial for my knowledge of different industries

    Cons

Multitasking is required for most of time. It could be very overwhelming sometimes. In addition, working over time is very common and it's hard to find the balance between life and work.

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Decent benefits.
If you get involved in the various KPMG groups , it can make a big company feel much smaller

    Cons

So much red tape everywhere. This is a corporate job so you get just that - so much time spent doing pointless tasks/check-of-the-list items that your managers don't even take seriously such as employee performance reviews, project reviews, etc.

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lowest politics and egos of Big 4. Having worked for others, this firm is very focused on getting work done, and serving clients. High degree of risk management approach to almost all delivery, even to the point of missing opportunity that other firms would take. (for Advisory work) There's a lot of room for "new talent" to prove and make their mark (vs other firms where you might have to stand in line for opportunity)

    Cons

Not elite. Needs a talent upgrade in several areas. High degree of audit driven leadership, which is a struggle in Advisory work. This is a small consulting firm trying to play on a big stage. A lot of growing pains, and migrating to metrics and behavior that do not always align to growth. Legal, contracting and risk management are almost draconian. Growing in spite of itself, or due to super-human effort. Turnover seems to be on the uptick. Perhaps a normal outcome of growth, but difficult to find bench strength.

    Pros

Good place for people coming out of college. You get to work with people of the same age and similar background. Tons of training to help you learn and grow. Tons of good clients for you to learn about the industries you want to work in.

    Cons

Bad hours. Worse hours if you want to get on the "partner track".

    Pros

Great place to start a career with opportunity to work on some of the world's largest publicly traded companies. Clear defined career path if you choose to stay or lots of great exit opportunities if public isn't your thing.

    Cons

Long hours during busy season, multiple busy seasons depending on assigned clients (3/31 or 6/31 year ends), unpredictability, office politics and low raises.

    Advice to Management

    Too many to list here.
