I have been working at KPMG (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can learn and grow as much as you are willing to invest. There are a lot of resources to utilize and relationships to build.

    Cons

Long hours are common as you gain more responsibility. Politics can be tiresome. This can all depend on the management client and the project.

    Pros

Work with smart people, excellent technology, great work life balance and benefits

    Cons

Limited upside, defined path to the top, some managers lack people skills

    Advice to Management

Encourage top talent to remain. Performance reviews are too politically correct

    I worked at KPMG full-time

    Pros

Great company to work for - smart people, excellent benefits, flexible environment. I would recommend the job to a friend if not reporting to the same manager.

    Cons

My personal experience was terrible. I had a narcissistic manager who constantly complained about her personal life and tried to belittle her employees every step of the way. It was a well known fact that she was terrible, but she somehow keeps getting promoted.

    Advice to Management

Not sure why management is afraid to speak up and share feedback with certain people.

    Pros

Great time off, good pay, great people. For the most part understanding management.

    Cons

Long hours. If your department isn't busy you can get loaned out to other departments, where experiences tend to be less positive.

    Advice to Management

Be more aware of circumstances involving employees who may not usually work in your department--they're helping out and don't always have the experience to jump right in.
