Misleading Onboarding Process, Stale Projects
Sep 12, 2022 - Video EditorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good salary, meal perks, gifts. Probably was a fun place to work during non-covid times.
Cons
Terrible onboarding process - was told my relocation funds were made into a bonus last minute and wouldn't be given until my first pay period. Had to pay thousands out of pocket to relocate, then find out 1/3 of the bonus was taxed later on. Lots of miscommunication from bosses, and being lead on to believe in being secure during organizational changes. Projects could be stale sometimes.

Director in care is very bad
Jul 2, 2022 - Community Manager in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The catered lunches (pre covid) were nice.
Cons
You work from home due to pandemic but with your own equipment. Nothing is provided by the company. New director is at hand at LA office but only works for his own good and not oversee the real needs of the teams in charge.

Pros
Some of the main reasons that kept me working at Kabam for as long as I did, were truly the amazing people that I met there. Other than that, there is not a lot going for this company.
Cons
The pay had to be probably one of the worst things about this place. Letting your employees live paycheck to paycheck in one of the most expensive cities in the country is just straight up disappointing. For a company who preaches culture and the importance of it’s people, the pay absolutely does not reflect that. Additionally, there were so many changes when it came to directions of different products and the communication about that was VERY MUCH lacking which caused a lot of frustration.

Cognitive Dissonance with the company towards the employees
Jan 21, 2022 - Player Support Agent II in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You will likely really like the people that you work with. They are great and time spent together is fun.
Cons
The company is never consistent in their messaging. They will say that we are getting a profit sharing bonus like years prior, say the same in a follow-up email, but then when you get you letter there isn’t a bonus. They do not care about their employees. My immediate leadership does, fortunately. At the highest levels, they have no interest in competitive pay for those in support. The attrition rate in the last year has mostly been because of the low pay. Not a lot of career growth. Players complain about support but it’s not surprising when the agents are living paycheck to paycheck.

Pros
Great benefits and great people.
Cons
Work is very boring and not challenging for me. I wanted to take on more but they were so understaffed I never got the chance. When theybare well staffed the job is great and lost of room to grow
