I have been working at Kaiser Aluminum full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

excellent pay and best benefits I've seen including full health, pension, and 401k. Bargaining unit employees have little opportunity to advance, however, there are over 30 different job classes you can switch to so you never get bored.

    Cons

The schedule isn't the best and to lower management you basically are a number though you can stand out to some extent if you work hard and/or have your years in. Older equipment is also questionable.

    Advice to Management

Take more of an active role in listening to production and clerical employees as far as safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You would get way more respect and production, quality, and safety would improve drastically.
