"Fun, busy, stressful all at the same time."

Former Employee - WP Maintenance Supervisor

I worked at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There was always something to do to keep me busy. Enjoyed the tasks required by the job. Liked manager a lot. Great winter weather inside WP at 88 degrees.

    Cons

Terrible benefits, less than a week of vacation after two years of working there, low pay considering how much responsibility this job takes. There is a lot of very expensive equipment to be messed up if you aren't paying close attention. I was always thinking about what I forgot to turn off or do on the way home from work. Nightmares about leaving pool fills on, etc. Working either second shift or weekends,... Holidays, open 365 days. Humid during summer inside.

I worked at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Steady job in seasonal community.

    Cons

Low pay, high turnover, under staffed, not given the proper tools to complete the task (i.e. Linen for hskp, functioning computers for front office, English speaking / adult life guards). Entire resort is unsafe and unsanitary.

    Advice to Management

Pointless as they are all about making money. Guests and associates are treated the same, just a number.
