    Pros

Positive work environment, get to speak with guests, and make a difference in guest vacation experience

    Cons

Most front of house operations are very high-stress. Since guests are often paying a lot to stay, they demand near perfection and when it isn't exactly what they expect then they are quick to complain or yell at whomever they are speaking to.

I have been working at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Kalahari is a wonderful, family-owned company that strives to provide the best work environment for its employees. Some words that I would use to describe Kalahari as an employer would be: positive, professional, friendly, team-oriented, flexible, understanding, compassionate, and fun, just to name a few. There is plenty of growth potential in the company and there are so many employees that have moved up from... within. They really take the time to teach you about the company and give you the information you need to be successful. The leaders work alongside the employees and really care about your professional success.

    Cons

Kalahari is a high-quality resort and the environment is fast-paced. This may not always be for everyone, although the day goes fast!

    Advice to Management

Be sure to spread the word of all the growth stories within your teams to motivate others to do the same.

I have been working at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions

    Pros

Working for Kalahari can be fun, exciting and a learning process because they provide some very good classes and educational trainings on good and beverage. I began working here when prior to the doors being open on July 1st 2016. The benefits are good and the overall work environment it's great.

    Cons

The turn over rate at Kalahari is extremely Bad. Many of the original employees are no longer employeed for a various amounts of reasons, one for the lack of Good management throughout the Hotel.

    Advice to Management

The Managment could be a 100% better. The positions are constantly changing and new managers are being placed in different areas in which they are not qualified. It causes a disconnect between the employees and their supervisors because of the lack of knowledge and mutual respect for working together as a team. Kalahari has lost some great people because of the bad management and nasty attitudes some of the managers... show their employees. They really need to start valuing the hard working people that come in and do their jobs without hassle, and not nit pick because many of the good employees are leaving because of horrible managerial skills.
