    Kana has many great clients.

    Vision and direction incomplete, but acquisition by Verint positive.

    Pros

    great company to work for; new assignments, new clients, plenty of opportunities to work on new products.

    Cons

    need knowledge sharing with the SMEs. work life balance was immensely affected during implementation phase for multiple clients that were brought on-board without vetting with the Professional Services team

    hire more people

    Flexible hours. Free snacks. Travel

    Cons

    Organizational and leadership structures were lacking. Not enough effort put into making sure everyone was pushing toward the same technological strategy.

    Advice to Management

    Actively building teamwork should be the first priority, otherwise any other priorities will suffer.

    Home working

    There is a good knowledge sharing amongst some of the team

    Cons

    No real decent pay rises

    Career progression is no where to be seen

    Good staff are hit hard while slackers get an easy ride – this can be widely seen when a project is coming to an end.

    Some staff look out for others to ensure nothing happens to them more than their own team when there is trouble on a project.

    Advice to Management

    Cut it down to size and stop micro managing your team

    Pros

    The people. I've never seen such a collection of interesting, engaging people. I thoroughly enjoyed my colleagues at KANA. Diverse backgrounds, highly intelligent, and loads of fun.

    Cons

    KANA was purchased by Verint and has been undergoing changes. Thus, an exodus of some of KANA's talent.

    Great people, interesting and diverse client base

    Cons

    Professional services is run as a personal fiefdom by those in charge. They neglect to build uniformity around process expectations, preferred artifacts and overall methodology. Management is not transparent and in some cases outright untruthful, laughing behind clients backs.

    Purge professional services leadership

    There was too much reliance on process for guidance that impeded more creative solutions to problems.
