I have been working at Kansas Childrens Service League full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company culture focused on youth and families. Very positive and has a grassroots feel. Management is encouraging and helpful.

    Cons

As a nonprofit funding is an issue sometimes. However, the company keeps updated with current technologies and this is to the benefit of their employees.

    Pros

It is a great job that allows you to make a difference in the lives of children, parents, and the community.

    Cons

Poor leadership from the management team. A lot of drama occurs in the workplace that makes in frustrating and unpleasant. Lastly, lack of comprehensive training.

    Advice to Management

Management team needs to let go of their ego and all be on the same page. They need to support their employees and not just telling them what to do.

I have been working at Kansas Childrens Service League full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, they listen to employee concerns and are quick to address them. Lots of training and employee development, even at entry level. Upper management and staff don't feel or act superior or unreachable to employees. You are actively applauded and rewarded for going above and beyond and hard work is never left unnoticed.

    Cons

Widespread with many services, pay is not as competitive as it could be (it is a non-profit), but benefits are decent. Limited staff sometimes makes for crazy schedules and lots of cross-training, which can be helpful in the future.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Kansas Childrens Service League full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with the kids was the only good part. The pay was decent but you work very hard for it!

    Cons

The upper management is crazy. They all try to step over eachother for a little more power, but their employees and the children they serve are the ones who pay. You willpower regret your time with this company, and that is a guarantee.

    Advice to Management

Care about the kids more than yourself just once, and things may turn around.
